Surjiya Bai

While other women in her village talked about cooking and sewing, Surjiya VV-PACS Correspondent from Dindori district, can talk endlessly about caste discrimination, forest rights and women’s empowerment. One issue she feels strongly about is access to education. Having been denied the opportunity to go to school herself, she wants her children & other children in her village to get a proper education. This she believes is the only way forward for her people.
