Video Volunteers community correspondent Shambhu Raj Tanwar made a video almost a year ago reporting about the condition in which an elderly couple were living in a village of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The octagenarian couple from Dadmi were old and weak. There was no toilet in the house. The vision of the old lady was failing. They could barely help themselves.
Shambhu coordinated with the village panchayat and got a toilet built for the couple. He also got in touch with local civil society organisations who helped Ambalal Meghwa and his wife with food grains and essential items.
Today, the couple are living a life of dignity. Shambhu says that the impact he has created with this video inspires him to make more such videos that transform the lives of people.
