The positive changes in one of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Ramgarh District is encouraging. We could see changes within a year of highlighting the issue of the PHC. There were many problems such as unavailability of medicines, shortage of beds and bed sheets, poor building infrastructure, inadequate seating arrangement for Patients and their attendants, unhygienic toilets etc.
Under the Swasth Aspataal campaign, the Community Correspondent (CC) Bharti Kumari formed a 12 person team with local journalists, lawyers and social workers. They strategized and had meetings with the Deputy Commissioner and the Top Health Officials to bring the required changes to this PHC.
