Forgotten in the Heart of a Conflict Zone

Chevaras Village in Darbha Block, Chhattisgarh looks like a place where time and development came to a standstill. Community Correspondent Ramjag Gaud reports on the absolute lack of facilities in the area. The 900 people who live here have no electricity, water, or teachers in their schools. Their appeals have gone unnoticed. Darbha block incidentally lies at the heart of the Naxal conflict area in Chhattisgarh. "There is so much focus on that conflict that other basic aspects of life have been forgotten. The community here has lost faith in all governance as they feel that no one cares about them", says Ramjag. Call to Action: Please call Mr Birchi Bagel, the village head on 07587373199 and ask him to ensure that the residents get access to essential facilities in the village.
