According to Health Ministry guidelines Primary Health Centres(PHC) are to be operational 24x7. However, the PHC in Baura village of Katihar district Bihar, is open only 2-3 days a month. As a result residents have to travel as far as 25 km to avail basic healthcare facilities. Residents say that even when the PHC is open, medicines are not always available. Please call the Medical officer of Kohra Block, Katihar District, Bihar on +91 9470003377 and urge him to look into the state of affairs at the PHC and ensure that it is functional 24x7.
