The Madhu Babu Pension Scheme run by the government of Odisha provides monthly monetary support to widows, elders, and disabled people. With case after case of non-payment emerging, it is evident that the scheme has not been running successfully.
Community Correspondent Ashok Samal reports from Agrahat village, Cuttack district, Odisha on another such failure. Ratani Mallick has been knocking on the doors of various state officials for the past 3 years to get her widow pension. She has opened the required account submitted the necessary papers and talked to every possible authority-- but nothing has come of it.
Please Call: Mr Paresh Kumar Nayak, Block Development Officer on 9124626250 and ensure that he takes steps to get Ratani Mallick her pension.
