Dalits of Uttar Pradesh Are in Need of Job Cards

 

Community Correspondent Shabnam Begum reports about the lack of job cards in this village from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. 45 people belonging to the Dalit community don't have a regular job and are struggling for survival. In times of COVID-19 pandemic, whatever little they could earn selling their handicrafts has also reduced significantly. 

Villagers demand from the authorities that they should be given job cards and get regular work under the MNREGA scheme.
