The Drain That Drowned the Village

Overflowing garbage and waste has clogged the drains of Sayala village in Surendranagar District, Gujarat. The stench is unbearable, say the residents. The unsanitary conditions put the health and well-being of children who attend the nearby Anganwadi in danger. The village sarpach has been repeatedly petition by the villagers to fix the drainage issue but he has kept the matter pending. IndiaUnheard Correspondent Neeru who produced the video is a resident of the village.
