ASHA workers of India are on the roads protesting against the injustice meted out to them. ASHAs, India's frontline health workers, have been on strike for months demanding better wages and protective equipment to do their COVID-19 duties. However, the state as well as the central government have either given hollow promises or chose to ignore their demands.
Video Volunteers, in support of ASHA workers and other frontline workers like USHAs, ANMs, ASHA assoicates and Anganwadi workers, is running a campaign 'Desh Ki ASHA' to highlight the deplorable conditions in which they continue to work and amplify their demands for better wages and benefits.
