About Video Volunteers
Video Volunteers (USA) is a global organization dedicated to advancing the right to voice. We envision a world where the lived experience and knowledge of marginalized communities is centered, communities feel heard and there is diversity in all platforms that carry or amplify voices. We are a pioneer in ‘amplifying community voices’ and in the ‘community voice’ field globally. Over the last 20 years, we have designed multiple community media/voice models that have been implemented by organizations in several countries. As we look to the future, our focus will be on devising globally relevant solutions to the ‘voice deficit’ by ideating best practices, and on applying platform thinking to develop new ways to aggregate, understand and scale citizen voice and insight around the world.
