Manthan Award South Asia, 2009: The goal of the Manthan Award South Asia is to showcase the content that already exists online and thus demonstrate the richness and diversity of content creativity to those interested in understanding and planning the Global Information Society. Video Volunteers’ was given this award in the category of “e-content” for displaying best practice initiatives.
Global Social Benefit Incubator, August 2007: Video Volunteers has been invited to participate in the prestigious Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University. Business Plan Competition, May 2007: Video Volunteers was announced as a winner of the Business Plan Competition put on by the NYU Stern School of Business Berkley Center. This was a wonderful recognition of our model to accelerate social change. The prize is $60,000, and access to office space and other resources through the Incubator Program. 2006 Development Gateway Award, December, 2006: Video Volunteers was announced as a finalist in the 2006 Development Gateway Award. In 2006, the Award was focused on Youth, and Video Volunteers was recognized for the work we and our partners have achieved in engaging and training youth within our Community Video Units.
