West Bengal Man Risks His Own Life to Raise Awareness About COVID-19

Trinangkur Pal, a resident of West Bengal's West Midnapore district has taken it upon himself to raise awareness about COVID-19. He has spent his own money to stitch a costume that resembles a Coronavirus and helps attract attention. He then performs skits with others, distributes masks and travels to different towns spreading his message.

"I will travel via Arambagh, Hooghly to Bankura, Bishnupur. The only way to put an end to this epidemic is by making people aware of it," says Pal. He says he has been performing street acts since the age of 8 and has participated in other social programs like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, AIDS awareness etc.

Trinangkur Pal, while speaking to our Community Correspondent Avijit Adhikary says his reward is when people hear his message and invite him in for food.
