State of a slum

Mounds of unhygienic garbage surround the Gandhinagar slum in Chattisgarh due to municipality’s ignorance. With no supply of clean water or a drainage system in place, swamps of stagnated water have become breeding grounds for diseases. The number of people with stomach infections in the area has seen a steep rise. Community Correspondent Ramjag Gaud reports.

The basic hygiene of this red Light district is almost non-existent, living conditions are dank and squalid. Debgopal Mondal, a Community Correspondent of Video Volunteers (VV) made a video about their living conditions and was screening and engaging with the community about ways to solve these issues.
