Rain couldn’t quench the thirst of 2000 people in Odisha. Yes, after a month long wait children could take bath in the mud water. The same is used for drinking. As, all hand pumps have given up, except one. The pump house that was established with hopes to give water in community taps, lasted just for a month.

Nitu Chakia brings a shocking story from Padmakesharipur village, in Bhubneshwar block of Khordha district, Odisha.

Call to Action :
Demand clean drinking water. Ask the Block Development Officer (0 9437056543) to get the Pump Station repaired or get 4-5 Hand Pumps fixed in the Padmakesharipur village immediately.
