Community Learns Filmmaking to demand essential healthcare for children

Targa Panchayat, Ranidih Village, Dhanbad District, Jharkhand | Bharti Kumari

Despite having 62 children between the ages of 3-5 there is not a single anganwadi centre in this village. The residents of the community can feel the affect of this on their children who do not get access to services like mid-day meals and primary education.

This video is one of the first participatory videos our Community Correspondents in Jharkhand have facilitated. Correspondent Bharti trained four young girls from the village to make this video, taking VV's community video techniques to a new level. The young girls making the video have faced this problem as children and now want to secure a better future for the new generation.
