The dam at Kothida, Bharud Pura, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh took just a year to get a crack. More than 11 surrounding villages are at risk now due to this leakage and residents are asked to vacate the area.
Around 2000 people use this main road and the bridge on a daily basis. Please share this video and let’s stand with the villagers in their demand for repairing the bridge.
In this video, you can see that the Gram Panchayat office in Barbaspur village of Balod district has been in a dilapidated condition for 10 years, in Chattisgarh.

During the monsoons, few interviewees in this video mentioned that the makeshift bridges break, and they have to either repair the bridge in heavy monsoon or a detour which takes considerable time and resources.
Take Action
They have been demanding a railway line for passengers for the last 50 years. The Bastar Chambers of Commerce and Industries are also a part of this agitation, together with various local organisations and citizens.

This Bridge can accommodate only pedestrians and two wheelers, it is in such a bad condition that it can’t take the weight of motor cars, or any four wheelers.
