Video Volunteers (VV) is an international community media organization that believes that who tells the story is as important as what the story is. Our vision is for a world where communities can use video and social media to celebrate local culture and right the wrongs they witness. The research, training materials, video productions and models that we have devised for hyperlocal media have been a key part of spreading the community media movement globally and critiquing the current mainstream media situation that emphasizes one way communication and the profit motive rather than community agency and local control. See our website at www.videovolunteers.org.
