Program Manager The Program Manager will be responsible for accomplishing the program objectives of “grassroots empowerment through media” by planning and monitoring program activities. Responsibilities including keeping the project on target, coming up with innovative solutions to management challenges, communicating with donors and partners, writing reports, and handling budgets. You will manage a small team of trainers, a researcher and others to implement the program and will work with staff of partner organizations with occasional field work with the women trainees. Qualifications:

• At least five years work experience
• Experience in either NGO Program Management or Development Communications
• Good writing skills in English
• Must be able to read and speak Hindi
• skills in leading a team, problem-solving skills, innovative thinking

Salary range: Between Rs 25,000-35,000 based on experience Location: Varanasi Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the program according to its action plan, keeping the project on schedule and devising innovative solutions to challenges
• Overseeing a small team, including resolving problems, handling staff training and reviewing job contributions
• Handling relationships with program partners and community trainees, including visiting field staff of partner organizations and working with community women
• Writing web and newsletter text, and supervising the creation of case studies
• Liaisoning between the VV main office, other project partners and funders
• Overseeing finances and maintaining the budget
• Creating and writing quarterly reports
