A five year old who cannot hear or speak by birth was brutally raped and assaulted and thrown in a bush full of thorns. Jawala Budruk is small village in Akola district of Maharashra where the horrific incident took place. The small girl was severely injured.
The little girl's grandmother said "She was like a small rose flower, what wrong she has ever done to anyone, why did he put my child in this condition. I want him to be hanged till death"
When Radhika Chincholikar our Community Correspondent from Maharashtra was informed about the incident by her fellow activists , she rushed to the spot. The Girl was in critical situation. She had severe fractures on her body. Radhika took the evidence to the police officials which helped develop a strong charge sheet against the boy.
A year of the incident the boy has been sentenced 10 years jail.
This was the first case in Hingoli wherin the rapist was punished in minimum court running time.
The little girl has been provided with Rs.4 lakhs which she will receive when she completes 18 years.
