In Sickness and Death there is no Medical Facilities at the Horizon

A father lost three children to sickness which could have been easily treated by a doctor. But with no medical facilities or doctors around for 25 km around Koskapur village, in Araria, Bihar, Dhana Rishi the father was helpless. The 'roads' leading to the nearest hospital are also not helpful. They are just deep potholes with muck, preventing any vehicle from passing in the right time. Just in the year 2016, seven people have lost their lives due to the denial of health facilities.

Like Dhana, many families in Koskapur have lost their children, parents, siblings due to lack of medical facilities. The Central Government Health Guidelines decrees that there is one sub-health centre for a population of 5000 people. The village, however, has a population of more than 12,000 people as per the Census of 2011.

Why are we apathetic towards the population of Koskapur? Do they not deserve medical care as the urban population?
