Regional/State Video Editor – Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh

The Role:

Video Volunteers is looking for regional editors based in each of the above states. The primary role of the video editor is to edit the videos of the community producers. The main video format is viewable on www.indiaunheard.videovolunteers.org.

Key Responsibilities

Edit the videos shot by the community producers

Maintain the archive of footage shot by community producers

Repackage videos for mainstream media and other clients

Create ‘special’ videos that showcase the work of Video Volunteers to other organizations

Train community producer in video editing

Technical mentoring to community producers on aspects of production quality

Provide feedback to CC’s and the VV head office on what is being covered in the news locally and should be covered by CC’s

 

Qualifications/work experience:

At least two years of work experience as video editor (must send video links of your work)

Should be well versed with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere

Should be good with After Effects, Photoshop and audio correction softwares

Speaks Hindi and English

Residents of the respective states are strongly preferred. The position will be based in the state for which they are the editors.
